With over 8 years of teaching experience across diverse locations, I am passionate about nurturing a deep understanding and appreciation for music in students of all ages, ranging from 4 to 70. My musical journey has been marked by learning from accomplished teachers from Korea, France, and America. This diverse background has equipped me with a wide range of skills, innovative musical ideas, and effective teaching methods.
My teaching accomplishments include:
Private Lessons: I have instructed an average of 30 private students weekly in my studio, tailoring my approach to each individual's unique needs and aspirations.
Comprehensive Learning: I provide detailed lesson notes to reinforce student learning, ensuring that students have the necessary resources in their cello journey.
Music Theory & Technique: I am adept at training students in music theory, notation reading, rhythm, note values, and pitch, offering a holistic music education that goes beyond just playing the cello.
AMEB Focus: I specialize in guiding students through the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) syllabus, from grades 1 to 8, to help them achieve their musical goals and aspirations.
Adjudication Experience: I have contributed as an adjudicator for the Strings Grade section at the Fremantle Eisteddfod, providing valuable feedback to young musicians to help them grow and improve.
University-Level Instruction: I have instructed university students on a weekly basis in cello performance, helping them refine their skills at an advanced level.
I am excited to offer cello lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps into the world of music or an advanced player looking to refine your craft, I am committed to helping you achieve your musical aspirations and foster a lifelong love for the cello.
