Hi, I'm Ian Ho, a tuba and bass trombone player, composer, and current student at the Queensland Conservatorium. I have performed with Queensland Youth Orchestras and internationally across Europe and Taiwan, gaining experience in orchestral, wind ensemble, and chamber music settings. Specialising in low brass, I strive to bring depth, expression, and versatility to every performance. I currently hold a AMEB AMusA in Tuba.
As a composer, I draw on my performance background to craft music that explores instrumental colours, textures, and timbres. I have written for soloists, chamber groups, and large ensembles, creating works that are engaging for performers and immersive for audiences. Whether performing or composing, I am passionate about pushing musical boundaries and bringing music to life.
