Inge Lass

  • QLD Blue Card (working with children accreditation)

Inge Lass is a highly accomplished tutor in high demand with many years of experience as a professional pianist, performer, and piano teacher.

I am currently offering tuition on the Gold Coast and occasionally have a vacancy. I teach beginners to advanced, young children to adults. I also offer online Zoom lessons worldwide.

In my US Conservatorium training, I studied under acclaimed pianists Theodore Lettvin and Professor Katja Andy. At the Sydney conservatorium, I was a protege of the acclaimed Russian piano virtuoso and teacher Igor Hmelnitsky.

Each student learns differently, and my tuition programme is individually tailored to each student's individual needs, catering to their strengths and challenges. My students are highly engaged during their lessons. I strive to develop confidence, and always inject humour and fun into each lesson.
I devote great attention to the development of technique and stylistic expression.
I teach students HOW to practice, giving them all the tips, tricks, and secrets to be successful and confident.

I am very experienced in preparing students for piano exams, from Preliminary all the way through to Diploma levels and Tertiary entrance exams. I focus on the AMEB examination curriculum but can also accommodate Trinity, ABRSM, and Guild. I have a proven track record of excellent examination results achieved by my students. My students also compete successfully in Eisteddfods, and have won many First, Second and Third place prizes.

Learning a musical instrument is an integral part of helping young people to become mature, well-rounded, and inspired adults. Scientfic research now shows that learning a musical instrument is one of the best things that a student can do for their brain development, as it engages all parts of the brain.

I offer 30, 45, and 60-minute lessons. All lessons are one-on-one.
