Chanting & Mantra workshops are suitable for absolute beginners and those with some experience. No singing ability required! Chanting is an act of meditation and service.
The word mantra can be broken down into two parts: “man,” which means the mind, and “tra,” which means transport or vehicle. In other words, a mantra is a powerful sound or vibration that you can be used to enter a deep state of meditation.
Like a seed planted with the intention of blossoming into a beautiful flower, a mantra is a seed for energising an intention. Just as you plant a seed, you plant mantras in the fertile soil of practice, nurture them and over time they bear the fruit of your intention.
Mantras are said to have the ability to help alter your subconscious impulses, habits, and afflictions. When spoken or chanted, they direct the healing power of Prana (life force energy). In traditional Vedic practices, they can be used to energise and access spiritual states of consciousness.
Physical benefits including relaxation, lower heartbeat, purification of the body and unwanted toxins, calm brain waves, relaxes the breath, balance the functioning of the two sides of the brain and oxygenates the brain.
