Hi! My name is Jacqueline, and I am available to teach in both violin performance and music theory. I hold a Bachelor of Music (Violin Performance) from the University of Queensland and am currently pursuing another passion of mine, Ancient History, as a postgraduate student.
I firmly believe that each student deserves individual attention, and tailor every student’s lesson according to their needs and personal traits. All new students receive their first lesson free.
I have extensive solo, chamber and orchestral experience as part of my studies, as well as experience in the Australian Youth Orchestra programmes and as a freelance musician. My current engagements include playing with Queensland Baroque, augmenting performer with various symphonic orchestras and small chamber ensembles. I have played with many small and large groups in, around and beyond Brisbane.
I have played as a principal member of Queensland Youth Symphony and held this position on the 2017 QYS International Tour, and I also have played as a principal member of the University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Having studied under Adam Chalabi and Spiros Rantos during my time at university, I have extensive performance experience and completed all theory, aural and conducting courses for my degree.
I have been trained in the A.M.E.B. syllabus, and have completed tertiary Music Theory courses with Distinctions. I have experience in Primary School Workshops and hold a current Blue Card.
Please contact me for availability, concerns and any other questions you may have. I am contactable on 0434 251 317 or Jacqueline.firstname.lastname@example.org.
