James Speer is an experienced and well-respected Sydney-based Suzuki violin teacher. James began his musical studies at the age of 2 with his father, John Speer, a renowned violin teacher who studied in Japan with Dr. Shinichi Suzuki himself. James attended St. Andrews Cathedral School on a music scholarship and has performed in many of Australia’s most prestigious concert venues. He has toured internationally as a violinist and violist. James currently teaches in the Queenswood private school and in his own studio in Balmain. He enjoys working with all students to help them discover their musical potential.
