I have 30 years experience in teaching Piano, Musicianship, Flute and Saxophone. I have also spent many years accompanying students on piano for various exams and competetive performances.
I love to teach and bring the joy of learning to create music to students of all ages. I also have 25 years of experience teaching music in Kinder - Year 12 at various Christian Schools in Sydney where I was responsible for training and conducting Concert Bands from beginner to advanced levels and was very successful in eistedfod competitions.
I have also spent a number of years as Music Director of Contemporary Music at St Matthew's Anglican Church, West Pennant Hills where I was reponsible for many large Orchestral and Choral perfomances as well as the weekly running of all Church Bands.
In 2012 I graduated with Distinction in a Masters Degree of Music Therapy and have obtained professional registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association. This treatment is a scientifically based practice using music as a treatment for behavioural disorders like ADD/ ADHD or OCD and other diagnoses like Autism. It is also a very effective treatment for adults with moderate to severe physical or cognitive disabilities including Dementia.
