With a Diploma in Music Performance (Jazz Piano) from the Jazz Music Institute, and an active involvement in the gigging scene, I can provide a practical aural and theoretical foundation to improvisation and playing music with others - not just teaching students to read the music, but helping students understand what makes the music work and how to use that knowledge to express themselves.

Formerly classically trained myself, I also prepare interested students for AMEB grade exams through the Piano for Leisure syllabus, building good basic piano technique that will equip students to learn independently in the future.
