Expert Flute Tuition

I welcome students of all ages - including adults - whether learning for exams and auditions or pure enjoyment.

I've taught flute for more than 30 years, and enjoy helping students achieve their musical goals. I take a wholistic approach to teaching, incorporating elements of music history and theory, technique, exploration of diverse musical styles, listening, psychology of music and physical awareness.

A highly experienced, energetic, and committed performer and teacher of flute, I hold a Bachelor (Hons), Masters and PhD in flute performance. I have taught and performed in London, Tokyo, USA as well as several states in Australia. I'm a former AMEB flute examiner, adjudicator, music administrator and researcher with a particular penchant for anything out of the ordinary.
