My name is Jared Adams, and I'm a current student at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music studying violin performance.
I've been very fortunate to have had some amazing teachers in the past who have shown me that learning an instrument is much more than just a technical exercise and benefits greatly from a more holistic engagement with music, through experiencing different kinds of performance and performance conditions, finding a variety of resources and media that serve both to inspire and to educate, and by combining practical elements of music with aural and theoretical aspects in order to foster deeper involvement with music as a whole. It's these sorts of lessons that inform my own teaching and that I would love to eventually pass on.
