Jasmine Middleton is a Perth-based violinist who performs regularly with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra, WA Philharmonic Orchestra, and a wide range of ensembles across Australia.
A versatile and collaborative freelance musician, Jasmine works across orchestral, chamber, and contemporary settings. As a session musician, she has performed with various touring artists including Michael Bublé, John Butler Trio, Guy Sebastian, Stella Donnelly, Tim Minchin, Gina Williams, Damien Leith, Synthony, and Ministry of Sound.
Jasmine completed a Bachelor of Arts in violin performance with First Class Honours at the UWA Conservatorium of Music studying under Shaun Lee-Chen and Paul Wright, followed by a Master of Music in orchestral performance through WASO’s professional development program. During her studies, she received the Edith Cowan Prize in Music and twice won the Flora Bunning Memorial Prize in Chamber Music. Jasmine was Concertmaster of the Perth Orchestra Project, and Performance Fellow with the Dots + Loops post-genre music and arts series in Brisbane.
In addition to her performance career, Jasmine is an experienced and qualified violin teacher. She runs her private studio in Morley, WA, and works as a violin tutor at St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School.
With over a decade of experience teaching K – Year 12 and adult beginners, Jasmine aims to foster a love of music with her students and work towards their needs and goals. She believes in the importance of providing a welcoming and supportive learning environment to help violinists reach their full potential.
