Jason Hagen is an audio, broadcast and training Professional with more than 30 years’ experience. At the age of 17 he was hand-picked to join the largest broadcasting organisation in the world. Jason has engineered, managed, produced and presented some of the biggest events in Australian broadcasting, including emergency coverage and recovery for the ABC of Tropical Cyclone Larry and Yasi which devastated Far North Queensland. He also produced and presented ‘Fishtalk’ for ABC Radio, the highest ever rating ABC radio program which ran for 15 years and won Jason ‘Best Program of the Year’. Jason also presented and produced Breakfast radio for the ABC over 10 years. One of Jason’s other life-long passions is live music broadcasting and recording. His first tour was with Sir Elton John and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Jason has also recorded and produced for other artists from Live Aid promoter Sir Bob Geldof to Australian guitar virtuoso Tommy Emmanuel. Jason coordinated broadcasts for three Royal Tours to Australia including Queen Elizabeth’s visit to the Stockman’s Hall of Fame in Longreach, Cairns RFDS Base and the first Royal Tour with Prince William. He is also an accredited trainer and assessor and is the training coordinator for Radio 4EB, the largest ethnic broadcasting organisation in Queensland. Jason has multiple movie, music, website credits and awards to his name and is an integral member of Pop Up Radio Australia.
