Jason Xu

Having graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney with Honours in a Bachelor of Music (Performance), Jason has performed multiple solo recitals, including for the Friends of the Sydney International Piano Competition. He has been a semi-finalist for the ABC Young Performers and 2MBS Young Performers Awards, and finalist for the Ku-Ring-Gai concerto competition, as well as winning various other eisteddfods. He has been a reserve for the Australian Youth Orchestra and has previously worked with the Ku-Ring-Gai Youth Orchestra, SBS Television Youth Orchestra and Sydney Youth Orchestra on both piano and trumpet.

Jason currently Head of Bands and Small Ensembles at Redlands, also teaches at Knox and Epping North Public, specialising in early childhood music learning. He is currently writing his own piano method books.

Teaching privately for 10+ years, both privately and at high schools.
Teaching children of all ages from K-12
Also offers non-traditional styles - most music in the Top 40 with the added benefit of some technical work!
