Hi, I'm Jay. I've been teaching music for about eight years now. I enjoy being able to work with a wide variety of students from small children to adults. My personal teaching philosophy is to help my students not only to play the piano, but also to help them understand the music at a deeper level, as well as develop an appreciation of a wide variety of musical genres.
I have a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where I was awarded the Dorothy Ryder-Phillips Prize. I also have an AMusA diploma from the AMEB, as well as a Bachelor of Science (Physiology) from the University of Sydney.
Asides from music and teaching, some of my other interests include personal fitness, cycling, photography, and technology. I also volunteer for St John Ambulance in my spare time.
