My name is Jeffrey Avergun. I have been playing guitar for 12 years. My playing level is of a Grade 8 AMEB standard. I also have some understanding of music theory. Currently a University student seeking to help beginning students (pre-preliminary/preliminary) to learn how to efficiently play different pieces and exercises. My goal is to help beginning students grasp and consolidate essential skills and techniques to effectively play the classical guitar.
As a teacher, my goal is to enable you to have complete control of the instrument as well as improving your overall playing.I am a very patient person and will constantly ensure to help and assist you with any issues you may be having. I'm a strong believer of having a positive mindset, and I will do my best to accommodate my teaching style to ensure motivated and constructive lessons.
What you will learn:
A progression from simple tunes to playing songs of different rhythm, style and origin.
Playing various scales and songs with an AMEB structure and focus
Understanding of notes and musical theory
A genuine passion and love for guitar and music in general
Having played the classical guitar for 12 years, it is fundamental to ensure a good start when learning to play an instrument. I had the fortune to be well trained when learning the guitar, and it is my endeavour to pass this onto my students. This is primarily why I am focusing on beginner - preliminary level students. Throughout my lessons, I will also ensure to explain key guitar techniques and skills which will become an instinctive part of your playing.
Guitar playing is beneficial for both relaxing and allowing students to explore music through positive and well-structured lessons. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reply to this ad or alternatively e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
