Jenna Choi is a passionate flautist and educator.
She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) and the University of Melbourne, where she has obtained her Bachelor of Music and First Class Honours with distinction, with the support of multiple scholarships. She also holds a Master of Music Studies from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University, where she studied under the guidance of QSO principal flautist, Alison Mitchell.
Currently, Jenna is a flute teacher at St Margaret's Anglican Girls School and Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie) in Brisbane. She thoroughly enjoys her time at these schools, working in harmony with the students and teachers.
Jenna is an avid lover of various musical styles, from baroque to contemporary. Recently, she has also developed an interest in Jazz. Jenna especially loves playing chamber and orchestral repertoire, and has been a founding member of multiple ensembles with her colleagues.
Jenna is a former committee member of the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Victorian Flute Guild, which provides multiple performance opportunities and educational programs for flautists in Melbourne.
Throughout her journey as a teacher, Jenna has worked with over 50 students and their parents both privately, and in numerous schools and studios. She looks forward to continue sharing the joy of music with students in Brisbane.
