Described by her school music teacher as a diligent individual who has approached her studies with commitment and determination, Jennifer Yin carries a deep interest in original composition, aiming to share the possibilities of music with greater communities.
In 2021, she completed the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) and was awarded 1st place in the HSC Music Extension course upon her high school graduation, achieving band 6 in both HSC Music II and Extension courses. Jennifer was nominated for NESA’s Encore and since then, began to explore her field in piano teaching. In the same year, she achieved third place in the London Classical Music Competition in 2021.
Alongside over a decade of experience in music, Jennifer’s encounter with both western and eastern music syllabi, involvement in a wide range of music styles, and multilingual abilities (Mandarin, English, and a bit of Japanese) enables her to create connections with students of various backgrounds.
This forms her teaching philosophy – to assist passionate students in finding their own dimension and sense of belonging in the world of music.
To understand this industry from multiple views and develop scientific approaches to instrument practice, Jennifer furthers her music studies in piano and composition with Mr Alamshah, himself a pupil of A.B.Michelangeli. Since 2017, Jennifer has been an active MuseScore user and enjoys composing original instrumental music and songs.
“There is, has been, and always will be people to whom inspiration invites them to see the world from another perspective. Their passionate spirits in guiding others through challenging journeys are visible in their artistic creations. We shall remain true to our original aspiration and never forget why we started.”
