Jeremy LaBrooy played bass in the Australian Premiere of Les Miserables at the Princess Theatre in 1989, Billy Elliot at Her Majesty’s theatre in 2008 – 2009 followed by Mamma Mia in 2010 and then Hairspray The Musical in 2011. He has written an instructional electric bass book and DVD which was released worldwide in September 2009.
Jeremy has been a VCAA examiner for Solo Performance Bass Unit 3 & 4 and was the senior bass teacher at Haileybury College for 4 years till 2004. Through my association of professional musicians who teach, I have been invited and hired to perform in ensembles by many schools including Haileybury, Caulfield Grammar School, Wesley College, Kingswood College, Whitefriars College and Mazenod College for their school performances and/or theatre productions.
Jeremy currently does sessional teaching at The Australian Institute of Music (AIM) in Melbourne, freelances playing bass and composes music in his home recording studio.
