Jeremy Rose is a noted Australian and international composer, saxophonist, clarinetist, bandleader, and recording artist. His projects include acclaimed groups The Strides and The Vampires. He is a two-time participant in the Banf Creative music workshops and holds a doctorate from the University of Sydney, Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
As a composer, Jeremy has written and received commissions from the Kuring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra, SSO Fellowship, Sirens Big Band and Compass Quartet. His 2011 work ‘River Meeting Suite’ on the Compass Quartet album ‘Ode to an Auto Rickshaw’ was a finalist in the 2012 Art Awards for Best Jazz Work.
Rose has received numerous awards, including the 2009 Bell Award for Young Australian Jazz Artist, BBM Award, and an Australian Postgraduate Award to study for Masters in Music (Composition) with Matthew Hindson at the Sydney Conservatorium.
He is now taking students at the Jazz workshop.
