Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours
I am a highly experienced musician, having graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music with a First Class Honours in 2012. I have performed violin nationally and internationally, performing as an Australian representative in Italy, Princeton and most of Europe. Additionally, I have performed with the Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras as well as many years of touring with the Australian Youth Orchestra.
While majoring in violin performance, I have vast experience in teaching and performing music. I specialise in beginner piano, beginner to intermediate musical theory, beginner to intermediate aural theory, and intermediate to advanced violin.
My teaching philosophy is one of understanding. Learning is not merely a matter of repetition or practical exercises, but rather a journey of understanding through experience. I integrate wrote learning, practical activities and step by step analyses to allow each student to learn and understand their studies both conceptually and practically. I understand that every student is different and creates a diverse and enlightening environment which caters to the learning ability of every student.
I hold a blue card.
