As an experienced and passionate trumpet player and educator, I have always cherished the time I spend teaching students one-on-one at my home.
I attended a prestigious music high school (studying classical violin and trumpet), I hold a Bachelor of Music Performance degree (Jazz Trumpet) from Monash University, and am currently pursuing a Master of Teaching degree at the University of Western Australia. I have extensive experience teaching privately, in various school settings, and for jazz workshops in Australia and the United States.
I always aim to tailor lessons to individual students' needs, skill level, and learning styles.
My role as a music educator extends beyond teaching an instrument and musical notation. I believe passionately in the importance and benefit of music education and the impact it can have on the brain, cognition, memory, and child development in all areas (including literacy and numeracy). I also believe in the importance of nurturing a child's artistic and creative development, and the ways in which this can enrich their life (intellectually, emotionally, and socially).
Please get in touch if you are looking for individual lessons for your child (or yourself!) and I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your musical journey!
