Effective violin lessons for all ages and backgrounds

A classically trained violinist and University of Sydney student with 14+ years of experience playing the violin since the age of 5, 8+ years of experience in ensembles, orchestras and other performances.

I have experience teaching more than 40 beginner adults and children (from age 4) and a couple of intermediate students (up to Grade 8) since November 2022. I am also working under a company and have taught students there of all ages.

You definitely do not need to do exams to have fun with the violin but for those who do, I am very familiar with AMEB exams and currently have two students partaking in them. I can also help with theory and aural work if needed.

Achievements:

• Received offer for Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium (University of Sydney) for Performance

• Received offer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) for Performance/Fine Arts

• AMEB Certificate of Performance (CMusA) with Honours

• Passed AMEB Sixth Grade Piano Fourth Grade Theory

About lessons:

My lessons are adapted to the student's needs and from experience, I always try to firstly understand the student's goals, level and playing style, then give them materials and demonstrate the essential techniques to improve and develop their craft.

Whether you want to play just for fun or for exams, there are so many things to explore on the violin. I tend to focus a lot on basic techniques such as posture, intonation, bowing, shifting, articulation and more, as I believe this is the most essential to seeing improvement in your violin playing.
