I am a professional voice coach based in Perth, with a positive energetic approach and consistent results. I am at ease with all genres of singing and put a strong emphasis on solid, sustainable vocal technique.
Whether you have a specific goal in mind, just want to brush up your repertoire, or maybe you’d like to find out what all that jargon ( “mix” “belt” “falsetto” “head voice” “chest voice” etc.) really means and how it all works together?
Take a look at my website for more information.
Joe is an experienced vocal coach who consistently obtains results with his clients. Having trained as a singer and pianist at Royal Holloway, London, he has since performed and taught voice professionally on various degree-level performance programmes at institutions including Birmingham Conservatoire, Bodywork Company Cambridge, and the Institute of the Arts Barcelona – where he devised the singing syllabus for their BA Musical Theatre Course.
Joe’s practice is deeply rooted in the Estill model. Trusted and delivered all around the world, Estill is a benchmark of quality and allows for the perfect marriage of technical understanding and natural vocal freedom. The concepts of this methodology are the accepted standard at the best and most successful drama schools in the world. Although sound technical underpinning is the most vital element of voice training, teaching should be organic; it should never feel “clinical” or overly theoretical. Joe is able to make a quick diagnosis of vocal issues and can work with clients to overcome these in focussed and effective ways.
Joe teaches from his home studio, and is also available for online consultations via Skype.
