I’m offering Piano/Music Theory/Singing Tuition to all ages including both adults and children for a duration of either 30 minutes, 45 minutes or an hour depending on the student’s preferred length of lessons. I usually teach lessons from my own residence. I may be able to teach at the student’s residence - however a travel fee will apply and I will only consider travelling within 10km of my residence. I teach students how to read music, how to develop a sense of rhythm, harmony and melody. I ensure that I teach students the correct posture and technique. I am able to prepare students for AMEB piano and music theory exams up to an intermediate level. I have the required qualifications to teach piano, music theory and voice, including Grade 7 AMEB Practical Piano and Grade 5 AMEB Music Theory. I also completed studies in Music at University, including music history and music techniques. I have also been employed as a Piano Teacher by music schools in the the past, including Maestro Music and Forte School of Music. I have been teaching piano and music theory for around 7 years now. I’m also a Professional Member of the Queensland Music Teacher’s Association (QMTA). The QMTA provide recommended minimum rates/fees I’m expected and entitled to charge for piano, music theory and voice. I charge $42 for a 30 minute lesson, $63 for a 45 minute lesson and $84 for a one hour lesson. I also have a current Working With Children Check (Blue Card).

I’m friendly, approachable, enthusiastic, excited, motivated, personable, passionate and professional as a piano teacher. I build rapport easily and effortlessly with pupils. I’m reliable, punctual and trustworthy. I believe music is something which anyone and everyone can and should enjoy. Music is integral to my zest for life. My life is so much more meaningful, fulfilling and enriched with music in it! The piano also uses both left and right brain hemispheres, making it a valuable instrument for brain development.
