John Lebesis has been one of Melbourne’s most in-demand electric bassists and session musicians for nearly 2 decades.
He has played, toured, recorded, and currently performs with some of Australia’s top bands and artists, including: Marie Wilson, Kate Ceberano, ‘Hans the German’ (Featured on ‘America’s got Talent’), Bo Jenkins (U.S.A), Keith Potger (The Seekers), Bjorn Again, Gary Pinto, Chris Wilson, Matt Hetherington (The Voice, Australia), The MJ King of Pop show (Australia, currently touring), ‘Big and Horny’, and has appeared on recordings featuring the Australian Girls Choir, U.S. rapper ‘Gizzle’ (Lupe Fiasco/Puff Daddy/Delta Goodrem) and Gospel Singers Incognito (Britain’s Got Talent, U.K.), among many others.
Aside from his work as a musician, John is also a passionate educator with over 18 years of teaching experience. His students vary from beginners of all ages, through to University-level students and professional touring musicians. He regularly conducts clinics, masterclasses, group tuition, as well as maintaining his private teaching studio.
