Bluegrass Banjo Lessons

Bluegrass banjo is not as hard as it looks! I will take you through the standard picking patterns, rolls and licks, playing lead breaks, backup and basic bandpersonship. You will learn how to read tablature and play by ear and feel. We'll look at the popular bluegrass banjo styles and have you picking along in no time (provided that you practice!). On the way I'll show you basic banjo maintenance and set up and other little things that the books don't tell you. I can also assist with advice on banjo purchase and at your first lesson, if required, set up your banjo for optimum tone - while you get to play one of mine.
