John has played saxophone for over 20 years and the Alto Saxophone was his chosen instrument through his double degree. He completed his Bachelor of Music / Bachelor of Teaching at The University of Melbourne in 2008 and is a qualified secondary music teacher.
He plays a number of other instruments that include, Clarinet, Flute, Guitar, Piano, and Trumpet.
His musical interests lie in many styles including Jazz/Blues, Classical, Rock and Pop.
He has recently played saxophone with the VYSO (Victorian Youth Symphony Orchestra) playing George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
He has Experience with AMEB exams, private and group lessons and taught regularly at music schools and in his private studio.
He also has experience with Saxophone Quartets, Saxophone ensembles, Clarinet Ensembles, rock groups, and other small performance groups.
