Johnny (he/him) is a Chinese-Kiwi Australian composer and producer, currently studying Composition for Creative Industries at the Sydney Conservatorium. His passion lies in writing music to a narrative and being a puzzle piece to the bigger picture, bringing out the emotions of the story and touching the heartstrings of the audience for a fully immersive experience.

Johnny has worked in collaboration with all sorts of media ranging from art music to dance, theatre, game, and many more. He has written works that have been played by ensembles such as SYO, Macleans College Concert Band, and various casual Sydney Con ensembles.

His most recent collaborations in theatre productions include the opening show of new KXT theatre on Broadway, Crisscross Productions’ “Cherry Smoke”, and new Australian plays "Human Days" by Dollhouse Collective at Sydney Fringe Festival, and "Beyond the Break" at Belvoir 25A.

On top of his compositional practice, Johnny also focuses time on his piano, viola, harp, and conducting practices. Quoting his tutor, being a composer is to be in the long game. He looks forward to a life of ever-learning.
