Piano Accompaniment

Hello! I am Jojo Yuen, a Third Year student studying a Bachelor of Laws(Hons) and Bachelor of Music at the Australian National University in Canberra. I currently major in piano performance and have been playing the piano for more than 10 years. I am a motivated and passionate young musician who loves to perform and spread my love for classical music.

In 2024, I was one of five Kingsland Fellows from the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and was also a Wesley Music Scholar at the Wesley Uniting Church, a position I continued in 2025. I won the Margaret Smiles Associate Musician Prize in both 2023 and 2024, and was one of the finalists in the Whitworth Roach Classical Music Competition in 2023.

At the age of 14, I received my LTCL (Licentiate Trinity College, London), and I am currently preparing for my FTCL (Fellowship Trinity College, London). I have participated in various international piano competitions and recently won second place in the 18 Years or Under Group in the Queensland Piano Competition. It was also my absolute privilege to participate in the Ameropa Chamber Music Festival in 2018 and 2019, where I played chamber music with musicians around the globe in Prague.

I love chamber music and have accompanied many ANU music students for various exams and performances. I have experience accompanying choirs from my secondary school choir in Hong Kong, as well as the Sing Australia choir. I also played an orchestral part for 'Der Rosenkavalier' with the National Opera in 2025.
