Drum Tuition

I provide effective and engaging private drum tuition with over a decade of experience as a session drummer and two years as a teacher. I am a member of the popular Melbourne fusion-jazz group Krakatau, and perform regularly with other local and international acts that come to town covering a broad range of styles such as jazz, rock, R&B, hip-hop, funk, pop and punk. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours) specialising in Jazz and Improvisation at the Victorian College of the Arts. This course has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to help students prepare for VCE and AMEB exams. I teach lessons out of my music studio on Lygon St in Brunswick East or can drive to you if you prefer to learn on your own drum kit. Through personalised lessons, I aim to elevate your drumming skills and enhance your technical proficiency. I'm excited to dive into an array of rhythms and unlock your musical potential!
