Joseph Eisinger began playing cello aged 7. After successfully winning the coveted Sir Charles Mackerras music scholarship to attend Sydney Grammar School, he completed the Suzuki Method aged 14 and was awarded his A.Mus. the following year.
Joseph icompleted a Bachelor of Music majoring in cello performance on a full scholarship, under the tuition of renowned Australian cellist David Pereira and Sydney Symphony principal cellist Umberto Clerici.
In addition to extensive performance experience both as a solo player, chamber musician and orchestra member, Joseph has played in masterclasses for such figures as Pei-Jing and Pei-Sian Ng (Australia/China), Richard Aaron (USA), Hans Jorgen Jensen (Denmark/USA), Kathryn Selby (Australia), Daniel Yeadon (UK/Australia), Peter Bruns (Germany) and Torleif Thedeen (Sweden).
He has twice been a finalist in the prestigious Musica Viva Chamber Music Prize and performs regularly as a member of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. As of 2017 he is also a casual cellist with the Australian Opera Orchestra.
