I am offering online violin lessons to students of all ages and abilities!

I have been playing the violin for 22 years, having studied at the Curtis Institute of Music in the USA, and at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne. I was the first violinist of the Affinity Quartet for three years, with whom I studied and performed widely in Europe and Australia. I have experience performing in orchestras and chamber ensembles, and as a soloist with the Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, among other celebrated musicians around the world.

I love teaching, exploring and sharing music with others, so would love to teach anyone wanting to:

• learn a new skill for fun
• prepare for performances, concerts, auditions, exams, etc.
• improve their playing/appreciation of music!

We will be working on:

• fundamentals of technique/setup, playing repertoire
• I'll give listening assignments
• We'll also talk about basic music theory and history - and how this relates to what you do on your instrument
