Josh Spolc

Hey there!

I'm Josh - I'm a session bassist and music teacher. I've been teaching for the past 12 years on bass guitar, double bass, and guitar (electric and acoustic), plus am passionate about music theory and the nuts and bolts of how music works.

I graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Double Bass, and have a wealth of knowledge teaching primary/high-school and adult students. Currently teaching at PLC Sydney, Rose Bay Secondary College and Cammeray Public School, I have extensive experience with concert band and big band playing.

As a touring session bassist, I regularly perform with such artists as Casey Donovan, Annie Hamilton, CLEWS and am a member of Human Noise.

Available for lessons in my Dulwich Hill studio (Sydney) or in Wentworth Falls (Blue Mountains).
