Joshua Goddard is a versatile Sydney-based conductor, woodwind performer and music educator with a passion for inspiring young musicians. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Music (Performance) in Classical Saxophone at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and enjoys performing in a wide range of ensembles, including participation in international tours to Europe, Japan and South Korea in 2024 with ensembles at the Sydney Conservatorium. In 2025, Josh was invited to perform with the Royal Australian Navy Band and has also regularly served as Principal Saxophone in the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Symphony.
In 2022, Josh attained his AMus.A in Saxophone with Distinction and is regularly invited to teach at band workshops across Greater Sydney. Whilst committed to his ongoing professional development, Josh continues to share his love of music by conducting numerous primary and secondary school ensembles alongside running and teaching a vibrant studio of private woodwind students.
