Joshua Moshe

  • Bachelor of Music Performance (Monash University)
  • First Class Honours in Fine Arts (Improvisation) faculty of the VCA Melbourne University

My name is Joshua Moshe and I'm a professional musician and teacher with 15 years of experience teaching musicians from primary-age through to university level and beyond.

I'm an award-winning performer, producer, and composer. You might have seen me perform at one of Melbourne's jazz clubs or venues, or certainly heard my music on PBS or RRR FM if you're an independent music fan.

I play, write, and record music for my own project JK GROUP, as well as 30/70, and I've contributed woodwinds to dozens of local and international releases. My most recent full-length album (The Young Ones) was nominated for the Music Victoria Awards Best Jazz Album 2020 and I was awarded the prestigious Young Elder of Jazz Award in 2019.

I'm a passionate teacher who tailors lesson plans and strategies to each student. Seeing students develop and become animated about music as they progress is a joy.

My lessons are highly tailored to the individual whilst striking a balance of measurable, technical skill development alongside the more esoteric aspects of musicality.

I do not follow an enrolment model and so students are able to book as many or as few lessons as they wish through my website.

Note: I hold a valid Working With Children's Check, Police Check, and have completed Anaphylaxis Training.
