Jovan Pantelich

Jovan is a cellist with years of experience teaching students of all ages.

He has extensive experience in orchestral, chamber and solo cello performance. Recent performances include a national recital tour with Finnish concert pianist, Paavali Jumppanen, and Elgar cello concerto with the Melbourne Philharmonia Project. His performances have earnt him major awards such as numerous prizes in the Royal South Street Concerto Competition, String Solo Competitions, The VCASS Chamber Competition Award and the Peers Coetmore Fund Scholarship in 2012.

Jovan also has extensive teaching experience from the Parkville Music School, Hello Music Studios and private lessons. Orchestral experience includes performances with The Australian National Academy of Music Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra and Royal Melbourne Philharmonic. Jovan's advanced cello studies commenced with two internationally renowned cellists: firstly with Nelson Cooke and with Howard Penny. Other lessons include those with Leonard Elschenbroich (England) Marko Ylonen (Finland), Richard Lester (England), Florian Eggner (Austria), Jakob Kullberg (Denmark), Mats Lidstrom (England), Li Wei Qin (Singapore) and Sandra Belic (Serbia).
