Judith Clingan AM, B.A, Dip.Mus.Ed (Hungary) has been making music with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds for more than 50 years. She is a composer, a conductor, a singer, a wind player, a percussionist, an improvisor, a music theatre script writer and director, a choir leader, a music educator and a multi-arts creator and facilitator. She has published Play On! (music curriculum for schools, especially Steiner schools, using principally the recorder); Songs of the Tree of Life, volumes 1 and 2; The Compleat Chorister; So Good A Thing, volumes 1 – 5; Musicianship Magic; Music is for Everyone. Her CDs include Short and Sweet, Choralations, The Floor of Heaven, Songs of the Tree of Life, Elven Tears, Glimpses. She founded and directed for many years the Canberra Children’s Choir, Summer Music Schools for Children (the Young Music Society), Canberra Recorder and Early Music Society, Gaudeamus (now Music for Everyone), Lady’s Mantle, the Variables, Waldorf Wayfarers (now Wayfarers Australia – with whom she has toured Australia and the world, performing and teaching, for the last 20 years.) Currently (2018) she is a frequent guest teacher and conductor in Taiwan, China and India.
