Julian Kwok

Julian Kwok has taught private lessons for beginner to intermediate level violists since 2023. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2024 with First Class honours in viola performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he studied the viola with Stuart Johnson and Roger Benedict. He performs with the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO), and he has participated in AYO’s Chamber Players program and Professional Immersion program with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra; he recently qualified for AYO’s 2025 Professional Immersion program with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He held the position of principal viola of the Sydney Youth Orchestra (SYO) for 2022. Julian is also the violist of the Delvinian String Quartet, which won Third Prize in the 2024 Convimus International Chamber Music Competition in Porto, Portugal.
