Kamal Jayakumar

Trumpeter/Cornetist has been teaching trumpet for over 20 years, since the age of 7 and has played in a number of A Grade and B Grade bands in Sydney including Hills Music Academy, Holroyd Brass Band and North Sydney Wind Symphony.

Kamal has recently moved to Canberra and is currently lead trumpet at the Gininderra Wind Orchestra and Principal Cornet at the newly established Lilac City Band. He also plays in the Twilight Jazz Band.

Kamal is a classical musician and my teaching focus is based upon foundational classical theory but is able to teach early stage Jazz/Contemporary as well.
