Karla Hanna Lau

My name is Karla and I am a member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. I have been playing the violin for over 25 years and have extensive experience in violin tuition.

In 2015, I studied at the Australian National Academy of music for 3 years before beginning my work in the music profession.
I performed extensively with orchestras including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, before landing a full time position with the MSO in 2023.
I have also completed a bachelor of music through the University of New England in 2022.

I am a passionate musician with a love for teaching and inspiring my students. I believe the best formula for success is creating a nurturing and positive environment in the classroom.

I mainly teach AMEB grade 7 and above, or the equivalent.
