Kate Worley studies at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne. She has just graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music with First Class Honours in Violin Performance under the tutelage of Michele Walsh. During her time at the Conservatorium, she was awarded both the University Medal and the Conservatorium Medal for both outstanding academic and musical achievement as well as community involvement.
Kate is an experienced soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player on both violin and viola, having held principal positions with the Australian Youth Orchestra, Queensland Conservatorium Symphony, and Adelaide Youth Orchestra. She feels privileged to have been surrounded by so many incredibly supportive and encouraging musicians from a young age, and has a passion for passing this on to the next generation.
Kate has extensive teaching experience in a variety of styles including the Suzuki method, and has taught students of many different ages, including adults. Kate takes every lesson as an opportunity to share anew the joy of music-making, and believes this is beneficial to students of all ages and all walks of life.
She is currently looking for students from beginner to advanced levels, whether simply for leisure or to pursue other goals such as exams, performances and auditions.
