I completed a Bachelors Degree in Music from the Sydney Conservatorium in 2014, studying under the teaching of Russian born violinist Evgeny Sorkin.
I am enthusiastic towards music education and gain most satisfaction watching a student that enjoys their progress. Not only have I benefited from the lessons of expert teachers of the very best schools, I’ve grown with my own desire to pass on knowledge; I’ve now over 12 years private teaching experience with students aged 3 years to 50+, so I understand what is involved when it comes to relationships with students, parents and schools; as well as timetables, payments, enrolment/exams, and lesson plans.
I am very passionate about every aspect of music, whether it’s performing, learning, or teaching. I strive to give the best possible learning experience to every student, to inspire, and instil musical appreciation.
Every lesson is planned to suit each individual students needs, ambitions, and desires, whether you just want to play for fun, or advance through grades and exams.
AMEB exam preparation includes learning music theory, sight reading, and aural skills.
I always encourage students to suggest music they want to learn. This may be a classical piece, a song from their favourite movie or computer game, or even a tune they have had in their head that they want to turn into their own composition!
I think it is really important that lessons are challenging, rewarding, and most of all - fun!
