Kay is a passionate and approachable pianist who has performed with musicians at venues such as the National Gallery of Victoria, BMW Edge at Federation Square, Stones of the Yarra Valley Winery, Zonzo Restaurant and more.
Kay has more than 20 years of extensive accompanying experience for AMEB, VCE, university auditions and public performances. She has accompanied Bachelor of Music Theatre students for their recitals at the Victorian College of the Arts and has recorded a CD with La Tin Shed Orqestra, playing the music of Astor Piazzolla. She is also an improvising musician, having traveled to New York City in 2014 to complete a summer intensive in jazz piano.
She is available to provide aural training, sight reading training and general exam and audition preparation for students who may already have a piano teacher but need additional support.
She particularly enjoys providing live piano music at weddings and special events.
She has worked as a classroom music teacher for students in pre-prep to year 6, directing the junior school choir and preparing students for performances including school productions. She has also worked as a casual relief teacher in both primary and secondary classrooms in government, Catholic and independent schools.
