HSC, AMEB, auditions, exam preparation, and FUN!

Hi. My name is Kelly and I have been teaching singing for over 18 years. I am a graduate from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Voice Major), and have a Masters in Teaching (Music). I am in my early stages of completing my PhD at Macquarie University with an interest in adolescent vocal development.

I teach at Wenona School, but I have also been a singing teacher at Meriden School, Ascham School, Santa Sabina College, St. Scholastica's College, and International Grammar School.

I have also been a tutor at the Australian Girls Choir, conducted group music classes at McDonald College, and held HSC workshops at the Sydney Conservatorium.

I teach a range of different styles from contemporary/pop, music theatre, jazz and classical. I have enrolled over 120 students in AMEB examinations with a Distinction average (both classical and Singing For Leisure - all grades). Six of my students have achieved ENCORE nominations. I have also had students accepted into WAPA, AIM, VCA, the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, professional musicals (including 'Matilda'), and Sydney Opera productions (children's chorus).
Throughout the year I enter my students in Eisteddfods and competitions (if they wish) to develop their performance skills and confidence.

My speciality is in working with female voices from 8 years through to adults.

My teaching philosophy is to guide, nurture and challenge my students through the selection of repertoire suitable to their age, vocal ability and goals.
