Highly qualified, creative and experienced violin teacher

I have been a dedicated violin teacher with over 15 years of experience, based in Strathfield and Croydon. I have experience tutoring privately and at the Sydney Conservatorium and Sydney Youth Orchestras.

I currently hold a position as a violinist with the Opera Australia Orchestra, and also thoroughly enjoy teaching a range of violin students.

I attained First Class Honours in a Bachelor of music (violin performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium and have since played with most major symphony orchestras in Australia.

I am a dedicated, creative and thorough teacher, with a particular focus on cultivating good practise techniques to yield quality playing and most importantly, musical enjoyment. I love playing music alongside my students, encouraging ensemble skills and building confidence.

Whilst I tailor my teaching to suit the needs and skills of each individual students, I aim to build solid technical foundations through sound pedagogical teaching methods. Beginner students are very welcome, and encouraged, as I believe a good violin set-up is the key to enjoying playing!

I am confident leading students through the following:

-AMEB levels, including diplomas.
-HSC and IB performances
-Orchestral auditions
-Ensemble playing
