I’m a highly qualified piano teacher able to teach ANY style to ANYONE at ANY skill level. My teaching style trains students to utilise efficient practice routines and critical listening to help solve problems, inspiring feelings of greater confidence whilst helping them become more independent musicians. My method also helps students develop their own unique style in a supportive and nurturing environment, a necessary part of every musician’s creative development.
A bit about me:
I started playing piano when I was 7 and by 12 received my LMusA with distinction. I have won many local Eisteddfod prizes, including one that awarded $800 in prize money, and have also won international competitions in Belgium, Denmark (finalist) and Croatia. I have previously received multiple full scholarship offers to prestigious private schools including St Andrew’s Cathedral School and The King’s School, and I also received an unconditional early entry offer to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Dr Paul Rickard-Ford, where I currently pursue a Bachelor of Piano Performance.
Starting from a fairly young age, my teaching career of over 4 years has seen over 30 students ranging from beginner level all the way up to AMus and LMus through over 400 hours of lessons. My students have been able to achieve high marks in their AMEB exams, with the majority receiving B+’s and A’s. I have experience teaching both privately and in music schools, and can adapt to many teaching methods.
What can I bring to the table?
I provide detailed and engaging lessons tailored to every student’s individual needs resulting in musical excellence and exceptional grades should they choose to take exams, enabling both scholarship and career opportunities later down the line. If not, I strive to hone them into well-rounded musicians with excellent fundamentals, able to comfortably and easily play any piece from any genre they so desire (pop, jazz, rock, classical etc).
