Ever since his first steps into the world of music with the piano, music has been inseparable from Kenny’s daily life.
Development of his musical abilities has seen him awarded an AMus.A Diploma in Flute, and a Certificate of Performance in Piano. He is currently completing his final year of a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the University of Queensland under the guidance of the respected Brisbane flautist Patrick Nolan.
Highlights of Kenny’s musical career include winning the Queensland Flute Guild James Carson Flute in 2014, performing in a masterclass with Principal Flute of the Estonian National Opera Orchestra Jonathan Henderson, as well as attending the Australian Flute Festival in 2017. He has also worked with Grammy award winning flautist Tim Munro to perform the world premiere of multiple works.
Over his musical education Kenny has gathered a wealth of experience in music, ranging from singing to playing the flute. Kenny has performed in a multitude of Queensland and Australia’s premier youth music ensembles including playing as Concertmaster in the Queensland Youth Orchestras Wind Symphony, and singing in the world-renowned Gondwana Choirs, in both Gondwana Voices and Gondwana Chorale.
Most recently, he attended the Michael Cox Flute Symposium, held at the University of Adelaide in April of 2018.
