Why do some pianists play with such expression, creating a beautiful sound, making the music come alive?

I am an experienced piano teacher with a passion for teaching music and am now offering piano lessons online via Zoom. These piano lessons are suitable for adult or mature students that already have some experience at playing the piano.

With over 30 years experience in teaching music and a full member of the Music Teachers Association of South Australia, I now enjoy teaching adult students that would like to refresh or improve their skills, learning the music they want to play. Many students wish to play for their own enjoyment only, while others appreciate the motivation and direction that AMEB exam preparation provides. Both are good choices!

I create individual teaching programs to accommodate both your learning style and preferences in music – anywhere from Bach to Jazz to Robbie Williams - and you will be playing the music you enjoy as early as possible.

With a flexible approach, I will teach you to learn and discover the satisfaction of achieving goals, whilst developing a life-long appreciation and love of music.

How easy is Zoom to use?
Zoom works well and is easy to master. I send you a link just before your lesson time with an imbedded password. You go to a waiting room I admit you.

I offer a FREE tech set up along with interview and first lesson, total duration 30 minutes.

A Laptop and USB microphone ($100) give the best results. I will also show you how to tweak the settings for best results.

The laptop is set up so I can view your hands playing on the keyboard (ironing board works well).

At my end I have a Mac with digital stereo speakers set up so I hear you at your best. I also use a Roland keyboard for demonstrations. As a back up I can email videos of me playing the acoustic piano. It is working really well especially sound quality when I am listening to you playing :) Questions welcome!
