MUSIC TUTOR PLEASE - Piano, Violin and Music Theory: 3 years+ to Adults.

Kimberley discovered she had perfect pitch at the age of four years old. She became a Music Scholarship student that enabled her to broaden her education at private school as well as college and university.

Kimberley performed and led orchestras around Europe, had her compositions performed by the Maggini Quartet and composed an A Cappella for a Concert for the Queen's Jubilee. She featured with Andrea Bocelli on The National Lottery Show as well as performing with Daniel Beddingfield.

Kimberley established MusicTutorPlease in London, which specialises in teaching the piano and violin to pupils of all ages and abilities from the age of 3. Lessons are available purely for pleasure or towards exams.

TUTORING EXPERIENCE

Voluntary work became a huge part of my life from the age of 13 and I enjoyed working weekly with children and adults of all ages who have special needs. This inspired me to combine both of my passions and qualify as a Music teacher. In the last eight years, I have been Head of Department and worked in primary, secondary and SEN schools in both the UK and Australia.

I teach and welcome aspiring musicians of all ages and abilities to learn the piano and/or violin. The lessons are offered on a one-to-one or small group basis and are situated in Frenchs Forest, Northern Sydney.

TUTORING APPROACH

Stimulating piano and violin lessons are tailored around the individual’s specific needs. Whether performing purely for enjoyment or working towards exams, the lessons will ensure a focused and enjoyable learning environment.

Through my own educational experience, teachers who have not limited their teaching but provided opportunities that I would never have experienced otherwise have inspired me. Even through their absence, these teachers have continued to play an important part in my own choices and personal development. I aim to have the impact and lasting influence on my pupils in the same way that these key teachers have had throughout my own education and adult life.

It is such a joy to see a child's face light up when they can play 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' within their first two lessons; A delight to learn that a 3-year-old is practising independently and enjoying their performance; An amazing experience to accompany a 4-year-old to their first exam.

I use a variety of fun, interactive activities to capture the imagination and playful spirit of children from the age of three.
