Kyle Muir

I’m Kyle and I’ve been playing guitar for 16 years, teaching it for 8 years. I currently work at Braemar College and John Marsden’s Candlebark School but am looking to take on more students of my own. I attended the Victorian College of the Arts for my Bachelor of Music (with Honours) and since then have played professionally in many bands (Rat! Hammock, Cacartu, Hoi Palloi, Isobel Caldwell, Wybie) and have been recorded on over 10 releases.

I am comfortable teaching any age at any level of experience. I’ve taken on students from as young as 4 and as old as 80. I believe that anyone can develop musical skills and I can help you along the path, whether you want to be able to jam with others, read music or learn to write your own music. I take a tailored approach to each student for a method that will be ideal for each individual’s learning.

I teach out of my own recording studio in Coburg North, so it is the perfect space to learn music in and I can provide any equipment you might need.
